Nielsen, Mildred E.

NIELSEN – Mrs. Mildred E. Nielsen (nee Vander Vries), aged 93, passed away Monday, July 12, 2010.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Ledin; son, Larry Bouman; brother, Kenneth Vander Vries; daughter-in-law, Sandra Ledin; and great granddaughter, Catherine.  Surviving are her husband of 37 years, Pater; children, Tom (Marilyn) Bouman, Phil (Nett) Ledin, Jim Ledin, Bev (Jim) Bursick, Debbie (Tim) Telder; daughter-in-law, Martha Bouman; stepchildren, Carl Nielsen, Pater Nielsen, Jr.; grandchildren, Kris (Sean) Pickney, Leann (Phil) Kennedy, Jennifer Bouman, Kerre (Eric) Licktfusz, Ken (Danell) Ledin, Keith (Beth) Ledin, Mike (Alica) Ledin, Christy (Mike) Blodgett, David Ledin, Matt Telder and Ryan Telder; 13 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Millie Vander Vries; several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, July 15 at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Dr. NE with Rev. David Bast officiating.  Her family will greet relatives and friends Wednesday 6 to 8 PM and one hour prior to the service.  Interment 12:30 PM Friday at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, MI.  Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan.  Memories and condolences to Mildred’s family may be shared at www.stegengafuneralchapel.com
