SKIBA – Mr. Edward W. Skiba, aged 71 of Wayland, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, July 8, 2010. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Judith. Surviving are his children, Sue (Dennis) Fields, Chris (Joe) Baker, Sherry (Todd) Dolson, Ed (Sue) Skiba, Mike (Kim) Skiba; grandchildren, Dennis (Tiffany) Fields and David Fields, Tim, Todd, Amanda and Jessie Dolson, Phillip and Alyssa Skiba, Tyler Baker, Selena Skiba, David and Tyler Miller; great grandchildren, Marisa Fields, Brendan and Trenton Dolson-Nisonger; brother, John (Diane) Skiba; brothers-in-law, Ernie (Danette) Shane; several nieces and nephews. From the time Edward was 19 years old he worked as a baker in many of the local bakeries. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 12, 2010 at the Ronan-Vanderpool-Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave. The family will greet relatives and friends Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc.
