Thompson, Lloyd Earle

THOMPSON – Mr. Lloyd Earle Thompson, aged 66 of Dorr, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, July 6, 2010. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sheryl D.; parents, Albert and Doris Thompson; and brother, Leon. Surviving are his daughters, Dora (Steven) Wildey, Leah (Michael) Gale; granddaughter, Mikala Wildey; brothers, Keith Thompson, Dennis (Sandy) Thompson; sister, Lois Jean Ridenour; and several nieces and nephews. Lloyd was a US Army Veteran and retired from Country Fresh in 2002. He was a dedicated husband and father, who loved spending time with his family and his loyal 4-legged companion, Tillie. He was an avid Harley-Davidson enthusiast, as well as a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. Lloyd thoroughly enjoyed spending time outdoors, and was especially fond of fishing and hunting. His family will greet relatives and friends Friday, July 9, 2010 from 2 to 4PM and 6 to 8PM at the Ronan-Vanderpool-Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave., and one hour prior to the service. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday at Kentwood Community Church, 1200 – 60th St. SE. Interment Dorr Cemetery.
