GLOBIG- Christopher Philip Globig, age 46, passed away Thursday September 21st, 2017. He was a graduate of East Kentwood High School where he played football and wrestled. In addition to being a beloved father, son and friend he was a talented mechanic by trade. He lived an adventurous life and always marched to the beat of his own drum. Chris was smart, creative and funny. He loved music and played the guitar and bass. He loved travel, art, nature and motorcycles. Family was extremely important to him and would never purposely miss a family gathering. He was quick to share stories of his adventures and perils which often brought on his infectious and hardy laugh. That laugh will be greatly missed by all. Christopher is preceded in death by his mother Sherry Hannon, Grandparents Fred and Helen Globig and Grandmother Evelyn Hannon. He is survived by his Son Collin Globig of Fairfax Station VA, Father and Step-mother Phil and Sharon Globig of Belmont MI, Sister Kaelyn Globig of Floyd VA. Grandfather Arnold Hannon of Bradenton FL, Step-father Barry Nobles of Comstock Park MI and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 6:30 PM, Thursday, September 28, 2017 at the Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Drive NE, Belmont MI. His family will greet relatives and friends from 6:00 PM until the service and following the service until 8:00 PM.
