ANDA- Dorothy Jean Anda aged 91, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2018. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Clifford Seeley, Marian Flierman, Chester Seeley, Orville Seeley, Frances Derby, Geraldine Mullennix, Lloyd Seeley, and Larry Seeley. Surviving is her husband of 60 years, Thomas; children, Laura J. (fiancé, George Guss) Anda, Kevin (Judi) Anda, Eric (Darlene) Anda, Heidi (Douglas) Herschleb; 8 grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Havelka, Shirley Seeley, Joan Seeley; brother-in-law, Peter Anda; many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, May 18, at Wealthy Park Baptist Church, 2233 Michigan Street NE, Grand Rapids. Dorothy’s family will greet relatives and friends from 1:00 to 3:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Drive NE, Belmont and one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Wealthy Park Baptist Church. When I first met Tom and Dorothy, I just started dating one of their grandchildren (mike) and Dorothy gave me the biggest hug that almost made both of us fall over! She greeted me like I was already part of the family and we just met that day! We bonded over me asking her tons of questions about her life and how Mike was when he and his family lived out there. I got to see them three times when they came out to CA to visit but each visit will hold something special in my heart. I will miss Dorothy, she was another Grandma to me. Now you get to meet my Grandpa Dorothy!!!!
