Dorothy Zoet

February 17, 1932 ~ September 13, 2017

Middleville—- Dorothy Ann (DuPont) Zoet, 85, peacefully went to be with her loving Lord and Savior Thursday, September 14, 2017 surrounded by her family. She leaves behind, the love of her life and soulmate of 68 years, Howard Zoet; her three sons, Butch and Kathy Zoet, Steve and Jill Zoet, and Mark and Chris Zoet; seven brothers and sisters, 19 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren. Dorothy’s passion in her life was her family. She was a common sight whether rain or shine at every sporting event, music concert, or academic event with a strong voice of encouragement. Her home is painted with pictures of her family that she loved to share with every guest that was welcomed into her home. She was also the first to surround you with prayers and encouragement. Along with her family, her faith was an integral part of her day to day life. She was a perfect example of Christ’s love for us as she exuded this unwavering love for everyone she met. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends but we rejoice knowing that she is back in the hands of her Lord, her mom and daddy, her sister and brother, and her Shawny that she all so longed to see again. A sincere thanks to Kindred Heart Hospice Service (Cate, Kristy, Christine, and Mary) for their faithful dedication in her final weeks. A memorial service will be held November 22nd at Holy Family Catholic Church 9669 Kraft Ave. SE in Caledonia, MI. Mass will be held at 11am with a visitation happening prior to mass at 10am. Donations can be made to Holy Family Catholic Church. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Dorothy Zoet please visit our Sympathy Store.

The first time I saw Aunt Dorothy) I was 7 and we had traveled to Southern California. I was awed by her beauty and charmed by her sweet demeanor. All through my life She was a beacon of cheer and kindness and I will miss her. She and Howie raised a wonderful family too! Her joy and faith will Live on through Her family.

I remember Dorothy talking about the ocean in Florida. She was amazed at how the water sparkled, as she dangled her feet in the water. Dorothy teared up and said she felt this was her gift from God - she's always loved anything that sparkles. The mental image was priceless!
