I am amazed by the patience, kindness, gentleness, and love that is required to be an effective elementary school teacher. Not only did Mrs. Hopkins possess all of these qualities, but she also had the ability to make all of her students feel valued while at the same time challenging them to reach their potential. Thank you, Mrs. Hopkins for pouring into my life and using your gifts to inspire so many. You will be missed and ALWAYS REMEMBERED.

To Adam and Noah, I am sorry for your loss. I too have memories of your mom and teaching at Howard/Ellis. I also remember her as your mom when you were in second grade. Even outside of school we had good times like going to the fair to hear Lee Greenwood sing. She wll not be forgotten. Anita Culp

Old friend, such good memories! Our years and experiences at Central were unique! We were having babies and raising toddlers while teaching reading. Remember the lounge ? A wild and crazy place! I am so glad I got to share those years with you. You will always be part of my history. Miss you forever, Joan
