Dear Family of Alex:  We, the families of The Compassionate Friends, send you our heartfelt condolences. The Compassionate Friends is an international grief support group for parents, grandparents and siblings who have suffered the heartbreaking loss of a child, at any age and from any cause. Our only mission is to provide comfort, hope and support to every family experiencing the death of a son or daughter, brother or sister, or grandchild, and to help others better assist the grieving family. We meet monthly in Grand Rapids from 7-8:30 PM on the third Thursday of each month at St. Mark's Episcopal Church Community Room, 134 Division Ave N, Grand Rapids, MI 49503. If and when you are ready to do so, please join us. I have great memories of Alex especially when he was preschool aged- I babysat him when he was little! He loved finding bugs outside & playing with his yucky little critters…hermit crabs & teasing me with them!😆 He had beautiful, unique colored eyes! I always loved them! I also gave him a few rides home from high school when he was in 9th grade! He was pretty quiet, but that was expected- I mean he was a teen just starting high school riding with me…I'd have kept quiet too! He was a sweet, energetic, caring son and friend! Rest easy & we'll never forget you! Hugs
