Syrba - Ann B. Syrba aged 97 of Kentwood passed away February 29, 2020. Ann is survived by her beloved children, Gary (Alaine) Syrba, Tom Syrba, Lori (Al) Larson, David (Cathy) Syrba; 13 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Marie (Michael) Richer; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, John (Pat) Savalli; sister, Nancy (Frank) Garber; and the father of her children, Edwin Syrba. Ann was born August 6, 1922 in Grand Rapids to Frank and Emma Savalli. As a young girl she learned to play the accordion which Ann continued to play throughout her life. She loved sharing her love of music with others by playing in many settings including her father’s band, clubs, weddings and for friends and family. Ann was a hardworking, strong and dedicated woman. One of the many things she taught her children was to always give to others even when you may not have it to give. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00AM Thursday, March 5th, 2020 at St Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 1253 52nd St. SE, Kentwood. The family will greet relatives and friends from 6:00PM - 8:00PM Wednesday at Stegenga Funeral Chapel - Wyoming, 3131 S. Division Ave. Prayers of the Rosary will be recited at 7:30PM. Interment Resurrection cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Emmanuel Hospice.
