Please Note Visitation Time For Friday Has Changed EVES - Carl Clayton Eves aged 85 passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Milo and Eula (Cooper) Eves; daughters, Patricia (Eves) Lapp and Carla (Eves) Baker; sons-in-law, Michael Baker Sr and Phil Lapp; granddaughters, Patty Jo Baker and Mindy Baker; great grandson, Zacharie Sucharzewski; step-son, James R. Mann II; step-daughter-in-law, Toni Mann; step-grandchildren, Derrick Mann and Audrey Mann; sister and brother-in-law , Mildred and Herman Westrate; brother, William Eves; brother and sister-in-law, Milo and Betty Eves; former wife, Joyce (Mullennix) Eves; brother-in-law, Eugene Horter; sister-in-law, Patricia Reynolds. Carl is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Theresa “Terri” Eves; children, Rene (Rod) Munson, Peggy (Chuck) Middleton, Lorraine (Dick) Copron, Jeannette (Dar) Baldassarra, Jeff (Christine Forcier) Eves; step daughter, Connie Vidro; sisters-in-law, Thelma Eves and Bernice Horter; brother-in-law, Gordon Reynolds; 20 grandchildren; 2 step grandsons; 19 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Carl loved being with his family and friends and always had big get togethers. Carl loved all of his pets. CC, the cat, will miss him very much. Pets were treated like our children with love and they gave their love in return. Carl worked for Lear Siegler for about 9 years. In the mid 1960s, Carl moved to Phoenix, Arizona where he worked for Sperry Flight Systems and then he owned his own tavern, The Highway Tavern, for about 2 years. Carl moved back to Michigan with his family in the 1970s where he worked for Langham Heating for a short time. Carl then began working for Union (Chase) Bank in the maintenance department. He worked his way up to building engineer. Carl retired in September of 1988 after 19 years of service. Carl was a jack of all trades. He used his talent to help family and friends and always did a job well done. Carl will be lovingly missed by all who knew and loved him. May he rest in God’s hands and everlasting peace. A funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, May 4 at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Drive NE, Belmont. Carl’s family will greet relatives and friends 6:00PM to 9:00PM Friday and one hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel on Saturday.
