Mom I idolized you as a little girl… always seeking your approval. It took us a while to get there.. but I know in the later part of your life you did… as I did you. You showed me that I was worthy of love and gave me guidance through some really hard times. I thank you for that.. you stuck by me when most didn’t. You never left me and you may never know what that did for me but it was the greatest gift anyone has ever given me. I will continue to make you proud as you taught me to stand up for myself and to always be loving and humble. I will miss our talks and how I could make you laugh… I love you so much and I will see you when I get there.

Mom, I learned the most important life lesson from you. How to be a survivor. During my teens and beyond, you fell in life, so many times. And you just kept getting up. I'm sure you felt like you were falling apart on the inside. But what I saw was the resilience from the outside. Thank you so much for that. I have also fallen many times. And it's because of you that I kept getting up. And will always get up. Thank you mom, for sharing your strength with me.

Mom. You will always be my beautiful guardian angel. I will carry on all the lessons you have taught me. You have lived on in your children and grand children. My halo I wear will always be you at my side. We will miss you daily. My heart is so heavy today. But I know you will get me through it like you always have. My mother, my friend, my strength. my entire being is all made of you.
