Cynthia and my dear friend and companion, Beverly Klooster (who passed away in Oct. 2016) were both born on Christmas Day, Bev 25 Dec.1937 and Cynthia 25 Dec. 1942. Both sang in Choir at La Grave and the joke between them was who could be the first to wish the other Happy Birthday after our Christmas Eve service. After Cynthia was no longer able to sing in Choir the rush on Christmas morning was who could call who first with the wish. It was good fun for both of them and gave each a good laugh as well as a good memory for those of us who knew about their game. Both now are greatly missed but will never be forgotten. Our Birth Mothers, Sylvia & Hermina Stroo, shared rooms at our births. Memories that I remember were many having attended Southwest Christian elementary & junior high. Many times we shared our birthday parties with school friends, including Junior High graduation party. Her father, 'Andy,' worked as a salesmen for my father many years. Her present picture still mirrors her smiles of childhood. Fond memories. Bill Stroo
