Deborah Favreau

December 9, 1957 ~ May 31, 2020

FAVREAU - Deborah Jean (Norman), age 62, passed away suddenly at The Oaks at Cascade nursing home on June 1, 2020. She was preceded in death by her father, John Norman Sr., and grandparents, William and Ada (De Zeeuw) Reickard, and Jules and Aleen (Polack) Norman. She graduated from Northview High School in 1976 then worked at Holland Home and Porter Hills as a dietary aid. Deb was an avid reader and loved her Bible. She loved all kinds of music and western movies and TV shows. In 2001, Deb was diagnosed with an inoperable malignant brain tumor. It went into remission after 31 treatments of radiation but came back 11 years later. Deb never complained and remained in good spirits throughout those 19 years, a true testament to her character. Deb will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Erma Norman; brothers, John (Sandi) Norman, La Verne, CA, and Jeffrey (Nancy) Norman, Coopersville; sister, Lori (Mark) Schumann, Belmont; nephews and nieces JJ (Ashley), Eric, Kevin, Jamie (Justin), Michael, Chase (Mary), Josh, and Chelsea; 7 great nephews, 3 great nieces, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. They will all miss her dearly, but find comfort knowing she is with our Lord and Savior. The family wishes to thank the staff of Oaks at Cascade and Kindred Care Hospice for their kindness, compassion, and care of Deb. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial donations in Deb’s name can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Debbie was a quiet person until she got to know you, then she laughed often, smiled all the time within our group and shared her love of the Bible! She was always, to me, so pretty, with her big beautiful eyes, and put together classic outfits. She was friendly to many & not clicking at all!! I think that's why Deb & I got along So well! Same morals & Values! I wish, after High School, we hadn't drifted apart, we had so much in common! We even worked in the same field, all our lives, Food Service!  Good Bye, My Friend, You are now in the Arms of Jesus, without pain!...I will see You when God calls me home, too!  Love Kelly McCormick Wurm
