Howard - Effie Howard aged 99 passed away on Friday, November 23, 2018. Effie was preceded in death by her sons, Eugene Ross, Robert Ross; several brothers and sisters, including her twin sister, Eva Jackson and her beloved dog, Itty Bitty. She is survived by her children, Louie Howard Jr., Harriette (Brad) Thompson, Sammy Howard; daughters-in-law, Mettha Marsalis Ross; Annie Mae Ross; Brenda L. Howard; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Effie loved God and was a member of the Bethel SDA Church, where she served as deaconess, former head of the kitchen and community service worker. She loved westerns, animal and nature shows, fishing, gardening, flowers and watching planes but never traveled on one. Effie was an excellent cook. She was loved and will be missed by many. Effie was a beautiful lady both inside and out. She raised a beautiful family! Effie knew her Lord and knew where her eternal life would be spent. I've only known her for close to four years but I feel like I've known her for many more. She told both sad and funny, memorable stories of her life. Effie +was an amazing mother and friend. Heaven gained such a precious soul. Someday I will see her again. Until then, I can still see her in her children. Thank you Jesus for sharing her life and family with me. R.I.P. Effie.
