ALFERINK- Jay Howard Alferink aged 77 passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2019. He was preceded in death his father, Bernard Alferink. Surviving are his wife of 19 years, Carol Alferink; mother, Henritta Alferink; children, Scott (Kathy) Alferink, Rob (Elizabeth Bouwhuis) Alferink, Mike Alferink, Jon (Heather) Alferink; step children, Gini (Scott) Schaeberle, Dale (Sherry) Brown, David (Shelly) Brown; grandchildren, Trevor, Nicklas, Austin, Sean, Ryker, Courtney, Kaden; brothers, Dale Alferink, Leon (Phyllis) Alferink, Don (Mary) Alferink, Ron (Diane) Alferink; sisters, Betty Spicuzza, Erma (Arlyn) Breuker. Jay retired from the General Motors 36th Street Plant. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, November 11 at Stegenga Funeral Chapel-Wyoming, 3131 S. Division Ave. His family will greet relatives and friends from 2:00 PM- 4:00 PM, Sunday, November 10 and one hour prior to the service.
