Dodds - Joy Elaine Dodds aged 84 of Grandville passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2019. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ronda Dodds; granddaughters, April and Tina Smith. Joy is survived by her husband of 68 years, Emerald Dodds; children, Dianna (Bob) Jousma, Robin (Ted) Smith, Allan (Barb) Dodds, Reda (Clayton) Meyer, Andrea (Pat) Hopkins; 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11AM, Thursday October 31, 2019 at Stegenga Funeral Chapel - Wyoming 3131 S. Division Ave. Joy’s family greet relatives and friends from 6PM - 8PM Wednesday at Stegenga Funeral Chapel and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Joy was the special lady that helped raise our kids, Luke and Katy, until they were ready for pre-school. She was patient and kind and the most selfless, God-loving woman that we have ever known and could have ever hoped to be part of our extended family. It was heart-breaking to lose her then and now. Emerald she, like you, was a gem. Praying that you find comfort during this time of loss. I have so many fond memories.
