Karen Kay Klawiter, left to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, August 20, 2019. Karen fought a good fight with her strong spirit and God’s Grace. She had a zesty outlook on life and was a perfectionist. She had a neurologic disease most of her adult life. With many ups and downs she became stronger, yet very vulnerable physically. In April of this year was diagnosed with cancer and struggled to remain independent… She wanted to go home with her dear PAWS dog, Fallon. She is survived by three children, Jennifer (Bernie) Deuling of Bloomingdale, MI, Carl (Lori) Klawiter of Jenison, MI, Brian (Karri) Klawiter of Kent City, MI; many grandchildren; few great grandchildren; sister, Sandy (Terry) Falstrom of Allendale, MI; brother, Tom (Roxanne) Pikaart of Wyoming, MI; many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Her parents, Warren Pikaart and Jeanne Hallum Pikaart went before. In lieu of flower, memorial contributions can be made to Faith Hospice. Memorial service will be held 6:00PM Thursday, August 29, 2019 at Stegenga Funeral Chapel - Wyoming, 3131 S. Division Wyoming, Michigan. The family will greet relatives and friends from 5:00PM - 6:00PM prior to the service on Thursday.
