Meade - Luey C. Meade aged 85 of Wyoming passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2019. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah Meade; son-in-law, Marvin Bolser; great grandson, Maddox Meade; parents, George and Beulah Meade; brother, Brad Meade; sister, Patricia Mullis; brothers-in-law, Frank, Sam, Quentin, and Paul Russo; sisters-in-law, Mamie Artlip, MaryJane and Patricia Russo; father and mother in-law. Samuel and Josephine Russo. Luey is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary; children, Brian (Lynda) Meade, Lynne (Bob) Koperski; Joe (Brenda) Meade, Jaclyn (Tracy) Bolser; grandchildren, Justin (Angel) Meade, Robert (Amanda) Koperski, Mallory Meade, Becky Koperski, Michael (Lindsay) Bolser, Corey Meade, Seth (Brittany) Meade, Tyler Bolser, Cody Meade, Brooke (Rayan) Meade; great grandchildren, Jaylen, Andre, Justine, Kenyon, Dominik, Lincoln, Olivia, Jude; sister, Loretta (Jerry) Plender; brother-in-law, John Russo; sister-in-law, Josie Russo; many nieces and nephews. Luey loved family gatherings and enjoyed being with his grandchildren; he coached little league teams; enjoyed gardening, hunting out west and Sunday football games. He was an avid Michigan fan. He proudly served in the US Marine Corps and was a Union Steward as a Teamster member. Mass of Christian Burial will be held, 11:00 AM Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Our Lady of Sorrows, 101 Hall St. SE. The family will greet with relatives and friends Wednesday, October 2, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Stegenga Funeral Chapel 3131 S. Division Ave and one hour prior to the Mass at church on Thursday. Prayers of the Rosary will be recited at 7:30 PM Wednesday at the funeral chapel. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
