Marion Lamb

Marion Beverly (Zacharias) Lamb was born April 19, 1933 in Portage, Wisconsin, daughter of Mae (Ringhand) Zacharias and Chester H. Zacharias. Marion received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, Early Childhood Certification from Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan, and Master of Teaching and Learning Disabilities degree from Oakland University, Rochester Hills, Michigan. Her career in education included teaching positions in Wisconsin, Washington and Michigan. Marion was preceded in death by her parents, brother Donald Zacharias, and beloved husband Francis (Fran) Lamb of 57 years. Surviving is her daughter; Jill Marie Macauley (Mark), son; Paul Andrew Lamb, and granddaughter Emily Marie Macauley. Marion was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church. She enjoyed cooking and gardening and entertaining friends and family with style and grace. She is grateful for all the support given her throughout the years by special friends, neighbors, and members of the church. A memorial service is planned for Saturday, January 4, 2020 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 3215 Four Mile Rd. NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525. The family will greet friends and relatives from 11:00-12:00 p.m. with a celebration of Marion’s life following at 12:00p.m. A fellowship luncheon is planned after the service. Private burial will be held at Blythefield Memorial Gardens at a later date.
