WERKEMA - Phyllis Arlene (Vander Hoff) Werkema, age 87, passed away Monday, August 5, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Clifford Vander Hoff and Donald Werkema Sr.; daughter, Sandy Post; great grandson, Karter Post; parents, Leonard Blackall and Ella May Richlich; brother, Douglas Blackall. Phyllis is survived by her children, Marcy (Jerry) Rademaker, Randy (Deb) Vander Hoff; son-in-law, Chris (Debbie) Post; grandchildren, Ryan (Amber) Post, Nate (Jen) Post, Adam (Melanie) Post, Abbey Post, Kody (Carrie) Skinner, Kayla (Daniel) Rupp, Jack Rademaker, Jason (Ksenia) Vander Hoff, Katy (Dave) Summers, Tyler Vander Hoff; great grandchildren, Zachery Post, Sierra Post, Ethan Post, Kaleb Post, Klif Post, Hunter Post, Jack Rademaker Jr., Sharlet Rademaker, Amelia Skinner, Gene Rupp, Zion Rupp, Brave Rupp, Jubilee Rupp, Austin Hoeve, Dane Diaz, Jema Summers, Gevin Summers, Leon Vander Hoff; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Dorothy Butler, Devonne Korstange. Phyllis loved to roller skate, dance, and go camping, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, August 12 at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Drive NE, Belmont. The family will greet relatives and friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel. My Aunt Phyllis was more than our fathers sister, she was my dear friend. We would talk as long as she could about family. She loved us all and we knew it. Everytime another Blackall was born, she wanted to know all about it. We love her so much. I feel like the hole in my chest will never recover.. I loved to talk with my beloved Aunt about Jesus. She knew Him intimately. She was ready to be with the King of kings and hear "well done good and faithful servant.
