ZOMBERG - Robert L. Zomberg, aged 79, went to be with his Lord Saturday, June 1, 2019. Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Zomberg; daughter, Felicia Willett; brothers, George Zomberg and James Zomberg. Robert is survived by his children, Amy (Marty) Sanders, Peter (Cynthia) Zomberg, Lesley (Pablo) Rodriguez, Matthew (Theresa) Zomberg, Jennifer (Michael) Meyer; grandchildren, Ryan (Jamie) Sanders, Erik (Ashley) Sanders, Samuel Sanders, Alexandria (Anthony) Smith, Joshua Zomberg, Rebecca Rodriguez, Stephanie Rodriguez, Pablo Rodriguez, Amanda Zomberg, Sara Zomberg, Maxwell Zomberg, Jessica Meyer, Joseph Meyer, Joseph Tofferi, Nicholas (Jennifer) Tofferi, Jesse Tofferi; great grandson, Remington Tofferi; sister, Mary Bierlin; brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul (Joan) Zomberg, Tom (Bernie) Zomberg, Ed (Linda) Zomberg, Bill (Jan) Zomberg, Chuck (Laura) Zomberg, Joe (Ann) Zomberg. Robert was a father, son, husband, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle to hundreds, cousin to many, nephew and grandson to a great generation, follower of Christ, artist, musician, and Marine. Robert retired from his job of 36 years with Spartan Stores as an advertising artist to take care of his wife of over 60 years. He was put to every test known to mankind by his 6 kids. He had many jokes, sayings, and nicknames, some not very appropriate but funny as hell. Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00 AM Monday June 10, 2019 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1120 4 Mile Road NE, Grand Rapids. Robert’s family will greet relatives and friends 2:00 to 4:00 PM Sunday, June 9 with a vigil prayer service at 3:30 PM at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Drive NE, Belmont and one hour prior to mass at the church.
