GELDERBLOOM - Shirley Charmane Gelderbloom, age 86, passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2019. She was preceded in death by her son, Roger K. Gelderbloom; parents, Ancil and Helen Cortright; sister, Patricia (Gerald) Sheckler. Shirley is survived by her daughters, Martha (Carl) Homrich and Amy Gelderbloom; grandchildren, Bruce (Alec) Gelderbloom, Jessi Lucas, Erin Lucas, James A. Lucas, Stacy (Michael) Norkus; great grandchildren, Arabella, Trenten, Kayson, Riley, Jade, Beau, Cora, Frances, Riley J., Sidney, Bailey, Reese; brother, Charles Cortright. Shirley retired from Leon Plastics after more than 20 years of service. She was a member of the American Legion Post 47 Women’s Auxilliary. Friday, May 10, 2019 at 10:00 AM, a graveside service will take place at Blythefield Memory Gardens with a gathering to follow the service. Heaven has gained another angel. Her family and friends will hold her dear to their hearts, forever. Her nature was kind, giving, easy going, and forgiving. She gave many hours of her life volunteering for charitable causes and helping those in need. Hard times were faced with a great inner strength and with those close to her. Shirley was, and always will be, loved and missed, by all who knew her. Rest in peace dear sister-in-law.
