Virginia was my daughter, Robbie's, mother-in-law. I was so happy that Robbie and Virginia got along so well. My husband Bob and I enjoyed 2 trips with Virginia and Bill. We went with them to Mexico and Hawaii along with Robbie and John. We all had such a great time. It was such a pleasure to travel with them. Two other memories of Virginia stand out in my mind. First, about two years after Robbie married John, the four of us went to Lincoln for Mother's Day. I bought little crowns for us to wear. I told Virginia we were queens for a day. I bet she thought I was a little crazy, but we wore our crowns and corsages all day. The other memory was when Robbie treated us to High Tea at the Holly Hotel. What a day the three of us had. It was so delightful. I truly cared deeply for Virginia and loved her very much. I enjoyed visiting with her whenever she visited John and Robbie. She always wore such beautiful outfits with jewelry to match. Such a special lady. I will miss her smile and little jokes she told. Rest in peace, Virginia. What we lost, heaven gained.
