Agnes Thresa Tillery

November 11, 1945 ~ January 16, 2023

Agnes (Miklusicak) Tillery, age 77, entered the gates of heaven on Monday, January 16, 2023. Agnes was born on November 11, 1945, to Florabelle and John Miklusicak. She spent her childhood years in Kentwood, MI but spent most of her life in Marysville, PA. Agnes was a true pillar of the parish at Our Lady of Good Counsel, Marysville, PA. She was a very devout Catholic. She said what was on her mind and never sugar-coated the truth. Honest to the very core. She did not suffer fools lightly. Sheer stupidity annoyed her beyond description. She was a no-nonsense woman of great wisdom but had a real sense of humor. She was a real friend and a person of true faith. Agnes was blessed with many talents. She was an artist who loved to work with glass, quilting, and sewing. She blessed many with her beautiful quilts and hand-knitted socks. She loved horseback riding and dressage. She was a master gardener who willingly passed on her knowledge to anyone who showed an interest. She was an avid reader and especially enjoyed autobiographies and cookbooks. Agnes touched many lives through her compassion and loyalty. She will be remembered for her quick wit, steadfast convictions, and giving nature. Agnes was preceded in death by both parents, a brother, Paul, and a sister, Irene. She is survived by her sisters: Mary (Steve) Rose, Anna Masson, Cathe VanGelder (Thomas Holmes), Monica (Tom) Moore, Bernadette (Jay) Gravelle; brothers: Mike Miklusicak, Don Miklusicak, Joe (Sue) Miklusicak, and Tony (Shirley) Miklusicak as well as many nieces and nephews. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at St. John Vianney Church, 4101 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming, with Rev. John Vallier presiding. Burial will be held at Resurrection Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Carmelite Nuns of Ada (Parnell).

Agnes was so much fun. I met her through quilting. She was devoted to her church and her love of God was faithful and unwavering. She will be missed.

Agnes showed her love to our family by making two quilts when our twins were born. Also, I will always remember her kindness after I complimented her on her perfume one Sunday. The next week, she brought me a bottle of it to keep. After nine years later, I still wear it every time I go to Mass and pray for her. She will be missed.
