Aline Joy Collige-Stebleton, was called home to her Lord on Thursday, November 7, 2024. She was reunited with her parents, Desire V. and Genevieve T. Finley-Collige and her sister Charlotte P. Brown. Aline was born in Battle Creek, Michigan on February 28, 1938. She was raised in the Battle Creek area and graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1956. She graduated from Battle Creek Licensed Practical Nursing program in 1957, and worked as an LPN at Battle Creek Community Hospital until 1962. Aline married David Stebleton on September 14, 1958. Along with their 2 daughters, she and David moved to the Grand Rapids area in 1972. She returned to work as a geriatric nurse at Sherbrooke Nursing Home in 1977, and retired in 1996. In 1978, Aline became the president of the Pierce America Corporation, a position she held until the company was dissolved in 2023. From 1979-2009, she was vice president and secretary of Dorr Industries, Inc. Her greatest accomplishment was successfully raising two great daughters, Charlotte and Tammi. Aline and David loved to travel. They visited all 50 of the United States, all but three of the Canadian Provinces, and 23 foreign countries.
Aline was a member of Christian churches in Battle Creek, Kentwood, and Wyoming for 65 years. She served as a Deaconess at Woodview Christian Church from 2006-2012.
Aline Stebleton was preceded in death by her grandparents; parents; and all her aunts and uncles. She is survived by David, her husband of 66 years; daughters, Charlotte Joy (David) Parcels, Tammi Dea (Russell) Kolski; grandchildren, Nathan David (Ashley) Parcels, Ashleigh Aline Kolski, Linde Joy Parcels (Matthew West); and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at Woodward Baptist Church, 2160 76th Street SW, Byron Center, MI with Pastor Lance Laker officiating. A lunch will be offered followed by a graveside service at Dorr Township Cemetery, 142nd Ave, Dorr, MI. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Monday, November 11, from 6-8 p.m. at Woodward Baptist Church and also one hour prior to the service from 10-11 a.m.. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Faith Hospice of Michigan and the Alzheimer's Association Research Foundation.
