Amado C. Salas, age 84, of Grand Rapids, passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2022. He retired after 32 years from Keebler Co. He had a heart of gold and was always willing to help others in need. He loved to spend time with all of his family. He was a very loving, friendly and funny person. Everyone will miss him deeply. Amado will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years of marriage, Consuelo Salas; daughter, Adriana Salas; son, Ulises Salas; grandchildren: Christopher Sainz, Bianca Salas, Eryck Salas, Gisel Sainz, Alex Salas, Ulisea Salas, Elias Pantoja III, Isabella Salas, Chrisalia Salas; great granddaughter, Rubi Sainz; niece, Maria Elena and Sigifredo Cazares and many other nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Amado Salas Peinado. He was loved by everyone because he was very pleasant and talkative. He never made anyone feel sad. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming with a vigil service at 7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at St. Joseph the Worker, 3138 Birchwood Ave. SW, Wyoming, with Rev. Jose Luis Quintana presiding. Burial will be held at Resurrection Cemetery.
