Angeline “Angie” Krzykwa Maxim, age 97, departed her earthly home to reunite with her loved ones in heaven on April 25, 2022. She joined her Lord peacefully from her lifelong home in Grand Rapids, MI per her wishes. Born on October 2, 1924, she was the first of 10 children to Clemens and Mary Krzykwa. On October 19, 1946, she married Herman “Max” J. Maxim. They were blessed with seven children, and she was beloved “Bushia” to over 50 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Angie’s strong Catholic faith and Polish upbringing fostered her ability to accomplish anything she set her mind to including helping build the family barn, raising livestock, gardening, and caring for her family. She had a spark for life and could always be found supporting her loved ones at celebrations, sporting events, plays, dance recitals, school concerts, and of course the casino. Bushia has been the heart and soul of the Maxim family. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and eight of her siblings. She is survived by her sister, Marge Roberts (Frank); her children, Max Maxim (Terry), Linda Sinclair (Mike) Joe Maxim (Sid Stevens), Diane Meyerink (Bruce), Jim Maxim (Karen), Cathy McCoy (Darren), Judy Taylor (Carl Brown). Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, April 29th at Holy Family Parish, 9669 Kraft Caledonia MI 49316. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., Rosary at 10:45, and Mass at 11:00 a.m. Luncheon to follow in the church hall. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 5587 52nd St. SE, Grand Rapids, Mi 49512. In lieu of flowers, mass intentions for Angie or donations to Holy Family would be most appreciated. Donation cards are available at the church.
