Arlene Mae Van Haften

Arlene Mae Van Haften, age 90, of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 21, 2021. Arlene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed reading in her spare time, playing games, and spending time with her family and dog, Sadie. Arlene loved to travel, spend time boating, and going to Drummond Island. Arlene would host Wednesday Night Dinner for all who could come and enjoyed special family time. She is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Van Haften; and daughter, Deborah Wentworth. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Daniel D. Van Haften, Denise and Don LaCroix, Dawn and Joe Campbell, Diane Grotewohl, Darlene and Ron Brown, Adam and Katrina Heintzelman; 19 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; brother, John and Sharron Twiss; and many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass service will be held 2pm on Friday, Aug 27, 2021 at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish, 6396 Belmont Ave. NE, Belmont. Relatives and friends may meet the family from 1-2pm prior to the service at church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish.
