Arthur Langeveld

May 14, 1934 ~ November 21, 2024

Arthur “Art” C. Langeveld, age 90, of Jenison, went to his Heavenly Home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 21, 2024. He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 67 years, Fran; children, Randy and Sandy Langeveld, Brenda and Ed Bakelaar, Karie and Doug Klaasen, Ron and Amy Langeveld; 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jean Wierenga, Dorothy Montoya, Margaret VanderWilp; brothers-in-law, Ryan and Jan Brummel, Arie Visser, John and Jo Visser; and many nieces and nephews. Art was preceded in death by his in-laws, Burt Wierenga, Andy VanderWilp, and Ruth Visser. He was a charter member, elder, and deacon at Baldwin St. CRC. Art worked for the US District Court as a Chief Deputy Clerk for 30 plus years. He enjoyed traveling to Aruba and showing his elaborate train set to his grandchildren. Art was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and loved attending games when he was younger.  A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Monday, November 25, 2024 at Baldwin St. Christian Reformed Church, 2101 Baldwin St., Jenison, with Pastor Don VanSlyke officiating. Burial will take place at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Monday from 9:30-11 am at the church prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Faith Hospice or to the Sunset Legacy Foundation.

Its hard to believe 90 years have gone by. I remember when he got his first car, and we took our first trip: it was all the way from Grand Rapids to the beach in Holland Michigan ! WOW! Times have changed. God is good!!

I worked with Art (I worked in the U.S.Attorneys Office) for 15 years. He was always smiling, like he had a great story to tell. A wonderful co-worker. My sympathy to his family, but know we will see him again someday.
