Barbara Longstreet

Barbara L. Longstreet, age 88, of Jenison, went to be with her Lord on Friday, April 8, 2022. She was preceded in death by her sons, Gordon Lee Longstreet, and David Longstreet; grandson, Jeffrey Longstreet; sister, Geraldine Collier; sister-in-law, Joyce Ballast. Barb is survived by her husband of 69 years, Gordon J. Longstreet; daughter, Bobbi and Dennis Hahn; daughters-in-law, Patricia and Tom Rodenhouse, and Gwen Longstreet; grandchildren, Monica and PJ Sullivan, Jennifer and Andrew Baird, Gordon D. and Taylor Longstreet, Gretchen and Dan Roodvoets, Alyssa and Sam Honderd, Patrick Longstreet, Marisa, and Rachel Hahn; great-grandchildren, Kimble, Claire, and Kate Sullivan, Annelise, and Isaac Baird, Austyn Longstreet, Levi, Ada, Will, and Nora Roodvoets, Evie, Judah, Henry, and Isla Honderd; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, James and Yolande Longstreet, Rod Ballast; extended family and friends. Barb enjoyed baking and cooking and her potato salad was second-to-none. She retired as the deli director of Family Fare after many years of service. She was very active and a great golfer, golfing in a league as recent as last summer. Her greatest joy, however, was her family. She loved spending time with them and celebrating their many accomplishments. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 15, 2022, at 10 a.m. at Baldwin Street Christian Reformed Church, 2101 Baldwin St., Jenison, with Rev. Don Van Slyke officiating. The burial will take place at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday, April 14, from 5-8 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW, and Friday from 9-9:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Faith Hospice or Baldwin Street Christian Reformed Church.
