Barton Dalley, age 91, of Middleville went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, April 8, 2024. He will be lovingly remembered by, his children, Linda (Doug) Vickers, Brian (Tina) Dalley, Kelly (Bill) Fleischman, Todd (Angela) Dalley, Susan (Bruce) Roede, Mary (Mark) Alderink; 17 grandchildren including Bart who resided with him; 32 great-grandchildren; brother, Danny (Pam) Dalley; sisters-in-law, Cindy Teater, Carole Teater, and Elsie Dalley; and many nieces and nephews. Barton was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Janet; great grandson, Lawrence “L.J.” Leiby III; sister, Charlene Black; brother, Clifford Dalley; brother, Cy Dalley; sisters, Iris (Frank) Brocato, Alice (Bob) Franciso. He graduated from Byron Center High School in 1952, enjoyed playing football for the Bulldogs and winning a State Championship. Barton proudly served his country in the Army during the Korean War. In 1956, he met the love of his life and would become Janet’s husband, together they had six wonderful children. He worked at Michigan Bell retiring some 30 years later. At the urging of his brother-in-law, Frank, during his career he enjoyed officiating high school football and basketball games. Barton was a long-time member of Clarksville Bible Church. A funeral service will be held 11 am Monday, April 15, 2024, at Clarksville Bible Church, 191 S. Main St. Clarksville, with Rev. Tim Bateman officiating. Burial will be held at Lakeside Cemetery. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Sunday, April 14, 2024, 4-8 pm, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 616 E. Main St. SE, Caledonia, as well as one hour prior to the service on Monday. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Clarksville Bible Church.
