Bernard “Bernie” Jager

Bernard “Bernie” Jager, age 83, of Allendale, was called to his heavenly home on Sunday, March 24, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Garrett and Catherine Jager; brother, Herb Jager; and sister-in-law, Joan Jager. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years, Carolyn Jager; children, Dawn and Scott DeBruine, Brad Jager (Tracy); granddaughter, Ellie; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ron and Sheryl DeRoo, Bill and Sharon Haveman, Grady and Sandy Kooiker, Ray and Diane Hoke, Rog and Kris DeRoo, Paul and Sue DeRoo; and many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 29, at 11 a.m. at Rusk Christian Reformed Church, 10354 92nd Ave., Allendale, with Rev. Mark Neymeiyer officiating. The burial will be held at Rusk Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday, March 28, from 6-8 p.m. at the church and Friday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
