Many sleep but not forever. Brian was a first cousin to me, I did not really know him well but I do remember his birth and knew of the good works that he was accomplishing. Because I am the oldest grandchild of Roy Chivis, there was 31 years between us. I knew him basically only on Facebook. We led different lives seperated by different states but he was family and I loved him.

Brian(ba) was a good man and respected educator. He served the head start program for many years as its Director. The youth of Western Michigan were better because of his efforts. I enjoyed my time working with him and send my sincere condolences to his family and friends.
