I was so surprised to hear this sad news. Brian and I were good friends all through high school. We walked the halls at Unity between classes. He was always a lot of fun and someone I could count on to talk things through. A great mind and a fun Humor. I never was able to get to know his wife as paths change once you're out of school. But she must be an incredible woman for Brian to pick for his partner in life. Brian was strong in his faith and not afraid to share that. I know we will see him again in Heaven and his smile. Prayers for you Janet and the boys as your life goes on. Never forget those memories.

I was shocked to learn from another Unity classmate (and soccer teammate) of ours that Brian had passed away last week. Brian and I played defense together on the Unity Christian soccer team, and ran track together all through high school, doing the same events, so I got to know him pretty well. Brian was then -- and seems to have remained his whole adult life -- just an all-around good dude. He was always the calming influence to counter my (over)-exuberance. Reliable, dependable, and always willing to help people; working well with others but never worried about getting credit for accomplishments. And a sense of humor that he would surprise you with when you least expected it. He was a well-deserving recipient of Unity's Mike Van Bronkhorst Memorial Award for showing outstanding quiet leadership. I'm sorry to have lost touch with Brian after college, but it doesn't surprise me he has two great sons to carry on his legacy. He will be sorely missed -- the world has lost another really good one, gone too soon. RIP Brian.

I met Brian a few times at Hope Christian Reformed Church through my coworker of 20+ yrs. The church was doing a Dave Ramsey Financial Peace workshop which I took eight times over the years at the church. He was a very nice family man that was very pleasant to talk to. He helped a few times or stopped in on the workshops because Janet was assisting with the classes. They have two great sons that I have met at company outings a few times. A very Christian man and family. I am glad to have met him. He is at home in God's house now watching over all of us.

For the past 26 years I have enjoyed waving to Brian as he mowed the lawn or drove past our house. He always had a smile. He will be missed in our neighborhood.

Brian was an amazing person to be around. His love for others and his sense of humor were so refreshing to be around. In the short year I got to know Brian, he helped me understand and flourish in the Automation department at Windemuller. I will never forget what he taught me and will forever miss him. Every time I hear a morning dove, I will always remember Brian whistling the song of the bird.

I am deeply saddened by Brian's passing. He was such a great mentor to me joining the automation team a few short years ago. He was such a kind and patient man. His knowledge of the automation world was second to none in windemullers automation department. He always had time to teach me something I didn't quite understand and was very happy to do so. You could tell just by being around him that he loved working with others and helping people grow. He was a great friend and irreplaceable as a knowledgeable mentor. I will miss him greatly but never forget him. K.O. Pectate Brian. K.O. Pectate.

The only thing that helps heal my broken heart at the loss of my good friend, is knowing that he is free of the sickness that caused him so much pain, and that he is now experiencing his new life in the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It was an honor to have him as a friend and whitness his servant heart in action. A more humble man I have never met. I can't wait to see him again!
