Cal was a wonderful person through and through. I met him at Robinson Baptist when I was a young teen. He as a great mentor for me as my Youth Leader and poured into his teens with a Gospel led passion always. When I graduated from high school, I asked Cal to walk me down to my graduation seat during the ceremony. My graduating class all did this. There was no question to me that as my mentor, that he should be the one to do this. I asked Cal if he would do that for me and he did without hesitation. He loved the Lord so much and he exampled "fruit" In every part of his life. I am rejoicing for him in his homecoming, being now with his Lord and Savior. He left a wonderful legacy of what it means to serve and love the Lord.

We were saddened to hear of the sudden loss of Cal. He was always a warm & welcoming presence when we would come to the tree farm. I remember his excitement when we came and he had just married Laurie. He was SO excited to introduce her to us! Cal was always a bright spot in our day and will be missed terribly. We will continue to surround Laurie and all of the family with prayers for comfort in this journey of grief. Looking forward to the day when we will all see Cal again!

What a wonderful legacy Cal leaves behind. Though our hearts are very saddened by this sudden loss of Cal. We rejoice knowing that he is now dancing in the presence of our Lord & Savior.
We had the privilege of having Cal marry us out on the Grand River on a pontoon boat in January, 2007!
We must have been VIP's for him to brave the winter chill to marry us!! That is a memory we cherish!
Dave has so many special memories of time spent with Cal. One of which stands out in his mind was going to a Red Wings Hockey game with Cal & cousin Tom & possibly others several years ago. They enjoyed that time together so much! So thankful for those memories!
We are lifting all of you in our thoughts & prayers for peace & comfort in this difficult time.
