Carol Warners

Carol Beth Warners, age 75, of Jenison, passed away from non-Hodgkin lymphoma (DLBCL) blood cancer on Thursday, April 18, 2024. She was born on May 12, 1948, in Grand Rapids, to Norman and Geraldine Krombeen. She was a wife to Ken Warners of 54 years. She was also a daughter, sister, mother to biological, adopted and many foster children, as well as a grandma. Carol was a loyal friend, avid reader, gardener, passionate baker and cook, and a leader in her church community. She loved her family, friends, and her community deeply. Her cheerful attitude and bright smile will be missed at Ridgewood Christian Reformed Church and the Jenison community. We will remember her for her love for people and endless generosity. Carol Warners is survived by her husband, Ken; her children and grandchildren, Tricia and Jonathan Thomas (Caleb, Elaina, Jack, Jed), Michelle Beals (Krysten, A’zahyia), Jeff Warners (Taylor, Gracen), Josh Warners, Rachel Warners and fiancé, Justin Tamminga (Tristan), Bill and Araceli Warners, Abby Warners, Anocia Augustin (Elijah, Shasta); and foster sons, Keith McGuire, Carlos and Cristopher Marino; and many other foster children. She is also survived by her mother, Geraldine Krombeen; her siblings, Nancy and Jim Decker, and Paul Krombeen; and Ken’s siblings, Ron Warners, Jim and Bridget Warners, and Ruth Warners. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Eric; father, Norman Krombeen; and parents-in-law, Henry and Henrietta Warners. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Monday, April 22, from 5-8 p.m. at Ridgewood Christian Reformed Church, 1571 Baldwin St., Jenison, and on Tuesday from 10-10:45 a.m. before the memorial service at church. The memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 23, at 11 a.m. at Ridgewood Christian Reformed Church, with Rev. Michael Ten Haken officiating. There will be a luncheon following the service. The burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens for immediate family only. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Bethany Christian Services. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11.
