Constance Maciasz

Constance “Connie” Maciasz, age 72, of Caledonia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at home, surrounded by her family.

Family and friends were at the heart of everything she did. She loved unconditionally and gave so much to so many. She loved and adored her kids and grandchildren, and nothing made her happier than spending time with them. She loved the water, preparing meals for the family, slots at the casino and hitting it big, and she got great pleasure out of spoiling her canine companion, Miley. The last two years were exciting times as she made her way back to Michigan from Virgina to be close to her brother, Mike and her sister-in-law and dear friend, DeDe, their kids, and grandchildren. Beautiful, new memories had been created over the last few years, and she was so happy, content, and proud of her new home. She loved and held dear spending time with her sister, Debbie this past December, and she looked forward to spending more time with her dear friends, Aileen and Sherry.

She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her children: Stacey and Lawrence Panetta of Massachusetts, Joe Huber of Caledonia, Jason and Karin Huber of West Virginia; grandchildren: Brendon (Colleen) Huber, Morgan (Kevin) Lachance, Carley Huber, Jason (JJ) Huber, Justin Huber; 1 great grandchild on the way; canine companion, Miley; siblings: Mike (Dede) Maciasz, Dave Maciasz, Debbie Hobson; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ron Maciasz, and her parents, Leo Maciasz and Virginia Kaczmarek. She loved them all very much.

According to her wishes, she will be cremated, and a memorial service will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, March 22, 2024, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 616 E. Main St. SE, Caledonia, with Rev. Mike Cilibraise officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to make memorial contributions may do so to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital, Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital, or an organization of their choice.
