Cornelius “Neal” LaMaire, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary King and brother, Fred LaMaire. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Cherie LaMaire; children, Neal LaMaire, Amy and Timothy Hubbard; grandchildren, Shannon and Ben Sobota, Elizabeth LaMaire and Brandon White, Joshua Jordan and Kristi Baughman, Katelynn and Preston Rose; 13 great-grandchildren; siblings: Helen Cowell, Margaret and John Austin and sister-in-law Barbara LaMaire. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 15, 2021 at 11 am at South United Methodist Church, 4500 S. Division Ave, Grand Rapids, MI 49548, with Pastor Mike Ramsey officiating. Interment will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday, November 14, from 4-7 pm at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 Division Ave, Wyoming, as well as an hour prior to the funeral service at church. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to South United Methodist Church or Faith Hospice.
