Craig Allen Lewis, age 70, of Grandville, was called to his heavenly home on Sunday, February 2, 2025. Craig was a kind and loving husband, brother, and uncle who was fun loving, humorous, and could always make you smile. He was loyal and dedicated to his family and had a strong work ethic. He was a lifelong welder, working for his brother Lyman for over 30 years. Craig enjoyed travelling, especially up to Pentwater, Ludington, and Mackinac Island. He always enjoyed a good meal eating at his local favorites of Ponderosa and Pizza Ranch. Craig’s favorite holiday was the 4th of July, spending time with his family, but more so entertaining the neighborhood with lighting fireworks. He enjoyed socializing at the Grandville Senior Center and loved playing Bingo. He was preceded in death by his mother, Geri Lewis; siblings, Colleen DeBack, Lyman Lewis, and Jim Lewis. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 50 years, Peggy Lewis; siblings, Judy Peterman, Bev and Bob Stevens, Bob Lewis, Lori Drier, Frank “Bruce” Lewis; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Joyce Lewis, Carol Reedy, Sharon Merritt, Cheryl and Bob Moore, Sally Davis; and many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 6, at 1 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Lu Saenz officiating. The burial will take place at Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit the family on Wednesday, February 5, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home and Thursday from noon-12:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Grandville Senior Neighbors Community Center.
