Curtis Allan Chaffee Jr.

Curtis Allan Chaffee, Jr., age 51, of White Cloud, went to be with his Lord on September 5, 2021. The only thing bigger than his huge smile was his heart. The pride and joy of Curt’s life were his children. He moved to White Cloud from Wyoming, MI in 1978, and graduated with honors from White Cloud High School in 1988. He was proud to have worked for the U.S. Forest Service during the summer after graduation. He fought forest fires “out west” and came back with numerous firefighting stories. Curt “dabbled” with college for a year but found his niche at the Gordon Food Service warehouse in Wyoming, where he worked until his original diagnosis and surgery. He fought valiantly against devastating brain & spinal tumors for nearly 25 years, enduring radiation and multiple surgeries. Showing great strength and determination, Curt was able to maintain employment, finally retiring from Leon Plastics in Wyoming. His homemade chocolate pie will be missed at family gatherings! Curt is survived by his children, Ashley (Tony) Allers, Catrina (Rory) Edwards, Aldric Chaffee, and Curtis Chaffee III; three grandchildren, Ellie Allers, Robin Allers, and Callahan Edwards; parents, Curtis Sr. and Pam Chaffee; siblings, Chad (Leah) Chaffee, Christopher (Kristi) Chaffee, Carrie Ann Fuller (fiance’ Doug Lott); grandmother, Claire Chaffee; grandfather, Lewis Dougherty, many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends, and his cat, Ash.
