Dan Verwoert

Dan “Danny” Verwoert Jr., age 54, of Jenison, passed away and was called to his heavenly home on Wednesday, June 15, 2022. Danny was blessed with a caring spirit and generous heart that was felt by many. He always put others before himself and would help anyone in need of anything. Danny had a special place in his heart for his mother and had a deep faith in God that helped him through his difficult times in life and his health challenges. Although Danny never married or had children, he found comfort in caring for his dog, Lily and cat, Missy. He was an avid lover of the outdoors and spent much of his time fishing and biking. Many great memories were made on fishing trips with his friend Dave and Dave’s son, Mason. Danny also loved to cook, making many delicious meals for his family and friends. Blessed with a strong work ethic, he was a crew chief for a drilling company, and he owned his own flooring business for several years. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Harvey and Leona Hamilton, Arnold and Betty Verwoert. He will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Mary Berrevoets; father, Dan Verwoert; sister, Heather Verwoert and her fiancé, Robert; brother, David Verwoert; family friend, Kristi; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; his dog, Lily and cat, Missy. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. A service to honor Dan’s life will be held at a later date.
