Daniel Thomas Lambert, age 52, of Wyoming, Michigan, went to be with our Lord and Saviour unexpectedly on Monday, April 29, 2024. He is survived by his mother, Paula Cole and stepfather, Chuck Cole; sisters: Evy (Jim) Scovel and Julie (Steve) Williams; brothers: Jim (Amanda) Lambert, Paul (Angie) Cole and Charlie (Emily) Cole; stepson, Evan (Erika) Randall and their children, Owen and Addilynn; along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Connie; father, Daniel Lee Lambert; sister, Denise Noelle Lambert.
Dan was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on January 26, 1972. While in high school, he attended Kent Skills Center, where he found a passion for woodworking. After graduating from Kenowa Hills High School, he found work in the field, and eventually made his career at Steelcase Woods, where he worked diligently until he retired in 2022, due to health issues.
Dan was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He and Connie adored their large-breed fur babies, which ranged from Boxers to Huskies, Rottweilers and German Shepherds. They cherished their time together camping or at the casino. Dan was a devout Catholic who wore his heart on his sleeve and was a kind and caring man. He had a great sense of humor and loved to make other people laugh.
Despite his short life, Dan lived it to the fullest. In spite of the obstacles he faced, he remained optimistic and full of faith. A Memorial Mass to celebrate Dan’s life will be held at 12 noon on Monday, May 6, 2024, at St. John Vianney Church, 4101 Clyde Park Ave SW, Wyoming, with Rev. John Vallier presiding. Burial will be held at Resurrection Cemetery with his wife, Connie. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 11 a.m. - 12 noon at the church.
