Mead – Darlene Joyce Mead, aged 81, of Belmont, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, August 6, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Mead; sisters, Donna Hurst, Nora Landon, Marie Cole; brother, Harold Higby; parents, Frank and Lucy Higby. Surviving are her children, Joyce Mead, Beverly Mead, Edwin (Angela) Mead; grandchildren, Sara Mead, Courtney Mead, Jackie (Gerald) Pitman, Logan Mead; 8 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, August 13, 2021 at Stegenga Funeral Chapel,1601 Post Drive, NE, Belmont, MI. Her family will greet relatives and friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel. Interment at Rosedale Memorial Gardens.
