David James Haddan

David James Haddan, age 69, of Grand Rapids, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 16, 2024.  David was a hardworking man with a tough exterior but a soft loving heart on the inside.  He was always there if you needed him. He took pride in his work and especially enjoyed the results of his lawn care work and caring for his own yard.  He will be lovingly remembered by his longtime companion, Dee Travis; sons: James Haddan, David Shea; grandson: Trent Shea; brothers: Dan Haddan, Randy Haddan; sisters: Deb Jenkinson, Sandy Haddan, Mary Workman, Julie Snyder, Cindy Berends; many nieces and nephews; extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Linda Mishler; brother, John Haddan; nephews, Michael Stowe, Jason Wagner; niece, Kelly Haddan. Funeral services will be held 2 pm Sunday, August 25 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood, with Rev. Dennis Gilbert officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Sunday, from 1-2 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
