Denise “Deni” Edna Fox (Queen), age 67, of Caledonia, joined her heavenly Father on Thursday, October 6, 2022. She was a beloved mother and grandmother, an amazing educator, and follower of Christ. Deni was born and raised in Grand Rapids, graduated from Creston High School, and earned her degree from Grand Valley State University. She had a passion for education and truly enjoyed teaching her first-grade students at Kettle Lake Elementary (Caledonia Schools). She also had a large heart for all animals, as evident in her many classroom and household pets. Deni was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Rhea Queen and brother, Jack Elwin Queen. She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Joshua (Crystal) Fox and Jacob Fox; grandchildren, Kaeler, Ellory, Tatum, and Brynlee Fox, and grandbaby #5 due any day; siblings, Denis Queen, DeAnn Jannereth, Donard Queen, Deirdre (Tom) Bowen; former husband of 32 years, Robert Fox; and many extended family members and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11am Tuesday, October 11 at Peace Church, 6950 Cherry Valley, Middleville, with Rev. Josh Blunt officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday, October 10, from 6-8pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 616 E. Main St. SE, Caledonia, and from 10-10:45am on Tuesday prior to the service at church. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Caledonia Education Foundation, PO Box 353, Caledonia, 49316.
