Denise Nelson, age 61, of Newaygo, passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021. Denise was a member of the American Legion Post 208, Moose Lodge and Fraternal Order of the Eagles #4170. She enjoyed going to the casino, road trips, reading, and most of all, spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her son, Jason McDonald; husband, Garry L. Nelson. She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Ryan and Amy McDonald; granddaughters, Jacquelyn and Kara McDonald; parents, Dennis and Phyllis (Brown) Glow; loving companion, Craig Cordle; sister, Marcia and Steve Poelman; special aunt, Dannette and Ernie Shane, uncle, Laevelle and Vicky Brown; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Private Memorial services will be held at Stegenga Funeral Chapel. A celebration of her life will be held outdoors on July 24, 2021 in Newaygo. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to American Legion Post 208.
