Doris McDonald

Doris Marie McDonald, age 90, of Wyoming, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Kathleen Gudenau, Karen Smith, Karla and Brian Westmaas, Kelly and Jon DeGraaf; grandchildren, Heather and Sean Pemberton, Jason and Kim Smith, Sarah and Bill Stevens, Lisa and Michael Prebil, Breanne and Joe Weber, Joshua and Jessica DeGraaf, and Nathan and Alyssa DeGraaf; 13 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Linda VandenBerg; and many loving nieces, nephews, and beloved friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Donald; sons-in-law, Leonard Gudenau, and Tim Smith; siblings, Helene Crawford, David  VandenBerg, and Herman VandenBerg. She was a long-time member of AMVETS Post 126 and became the women's auxiliary president. Doris loved to travel, bake, cook, and to be social with her friends and family. She will be greatly missed. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, November 12, from 10-11:30 a.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. A memorial service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Deacon Jeff Ryan officiating. Please join the family for a light lunch after the service. The burial will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery at a later date. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods or AMVETS.
