Douglas H. Winans

Doug H. Winans, age 63, of Comstock Park, passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, August 21, 2021. He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Winans; mother, Nina Winans; sister, Deadra Kay. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 29 years, Diane; sons, Doug Alexander Winans and Joshua Lee Winans; granddaughter, Riley; father, Robert Netzel (and special friend Linda Young); siblings, Dawn Hamilton (and partner Darryl), Kelly (Rich) Juday, Chip (Stephanie) Netzel; mother and father-in-law, Carol and Rodney Dolan, Dave and Linda Davis; brothers-in-laws, Tom Davis and Rich Loosemore; many nieces, nephews and loving friends. Doug proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps. He was a pool installer for Spoolstras Pools, and was an avid traveler. Memorial services will be held 11 am Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Dr. NE, Belmont, with Fred Stella officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 9 to 11 am at the funeral home prior to the service.
