Elaine McIntyre-Albrecht

October 11, 1951 ~ May 18, 2023

Elaine Therese McIntyre-Albrecht, age 71, of Grandville, was called to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus, after a short, courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, May 18, 2023. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, whom she lived each day for, Erica Vincent, Scott Ryan (Melissa) Albrecht, Courtney Albrecht; grandchildren, Austin Vincent, Bryce Vincent, Evan Vincent, Coranna Albrecht, Donovan Albrecht; special cousin, Don and Sal Cook; several cousins and close friends. Elaine loved her family and especially enjoyed family gatherings to celebrate birthdays, holidays and other special occasions. She enjoyed summer vacations in Traverse City and trips to Florida. She also enjoyed cooking for her family and taking care of her yard. Elaine was a passionate Notre Dame football and basketball fan and will continue to cheer them on in heaven. Her greatest joy was watching her grandchildren’s sporting and school events. She was a very faithful and active member of St. Pius X Catholic Church participating as a Eucharistic Minister and Catechism teacher. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Celeste Myles. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at 11 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3937 Wilson SW, Grandville, with Fr. Stephen Durkee presiding. The burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday, May 22, from 3-7 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. An additional visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. prior to Mass at the church. To the Family of Elaine, Your Mother was a Godly woman, full of Faith and Devotion, especially to her family. Our work allowed us to have a Monday Morning Prayer Call every week and Elaine was always sure to be on each call. She was always Praying for her family and those that needed Prayer in the world for whatever the reason may have been. Our Prayers were for Elaine when she was no longer able to participate, rest assured she is now in Paradise Praying over all of you, her family, in God's Church Triumphant. How fitting that she was taken to Heaven on Ascension Day of our Lord Jesus Christ. May God's Peace that surpasses all understanding be with you all in your days ahead. Fly high Elaine, God's Faithful Servant!
