George Anthony Arizola, age 56, of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully with his mother by his side on Saturday, June 29, 2024 after a courageous battle with stage 4 pancreatic cancer and diabetes. He enjoyed tejano music, dancing, food and MSU sports. Most of all, he loved spending time with his kids and his large family. He will be lovingly remembered by his children: Amanda (Robert) Boudreaux-McLain, Anthony (Rachel) Arizola, Carlos Arizola, Felix Arizola (fiancée, Vivyanna Martinez); grandchildren: Mason, Beaux, Zoey, Alexis, Penelope; mother, Olivia Arizola; step-children: Michael Mata, Felicia Mata-Gonzalez; brothers: Jesse Arizola, Stephen (Tanya) Arizola; half siblings: Chino Arizola, Reyna (Rob) Mathis; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Arizola; step-father, Zeke Ramirez; sister-in-law, Linda Arizola; sister, Lucia Maria.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 1048 Chicago Dr. SW, Wyoming, with Rev. Charlie Brown and Rev. Steven Cron presiding. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday, July 9, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park Ave SW, Wyoming. A rosary service will be held Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at 7:30 p.m. An hour of visitation will also be held at church on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help defray funeral expenses.
